We started out our last hour talking about the Denver Broncos’ off-season. ‘1st and 10’ went to the hotline to talk to our #9news Insiders Mike Klis. Klis joined us on the show to breakdown the latest on the Shane Ray and the rest the Denver Broncos’’ off-season. Mike reported OLB Shane Ray not expected to miss any games. Chance he's even cleared for start of training camp, although PUP is still an option. He flew to Houston in mid-June for surgery. Doctor took another look at X-rays and determined non-surgery rehab is best course. Mike was told Ray reported to doctor for surgery but then more options were discussed. Hope is it heals without surgery but ... there was still discomfort nearly a year after initial surgery last August. Klis also reported the latest Clinton McDonald. Broncos DT Clinton McDonald had been out with bacteria infection stemming from 2015 shoulder surgery. Had procedure in New York to drain infection. He was cleared by Dr Altcheck. Will take Broncos physical tomorrow. “Im good to go,” he said. Clinton McDonald expects to pass Broncos physical TUE and be cleared for start of camp. He had felt discomfort in shoulder much of last year. Still had 5.0 sacks for TB Bucs. Infection may have come from hardware inserted during shoulder surgery three years ago.
