Darrell Doucette, quarterback for the "Fighting Cancer" team in the American Flag Football League, joined Crockett & Stout as the league is coming down to the final few teams. We talked with Darrell about how he got involved in this league, what it’s like to be on a team that’s down to the final few teams when it started with over a thousand teams. We also talked with Darrell about playing flag football and how he’s learned the game and its rules and what it’s like playing against the opponents he’s played against. We talked with Darrell about the difference between the AFFL and tackle football. We also talked about the million dollar pot for the winning team. We then asked Darrell about the background of the “Fighting Cancer” team name and where that came from. We then asked Darrell if the amateur teams should be favored over the pro teams for the championship game. We also touched on how Darrell balances his 9-5 jobs with Delta and as a P.E. teacher with playing in the flag football league.
